NYC Hair Braiding

Ok...I need help from you folks who live in NYC.

I want my hair braided for a little while. Small box braids that can last me about 3-6 months at a time. No way will I give someone $100 just to braid my hair

ok so who can recommend some spots in Harlem?

Oh I would buy my own hair. I don't trust that hair they give.

sorry I did not get the part that you would be adding hair extensions to the box braids thing.. Your hair grows quickly so I dont think extensions would be a viable option for 3- 6 months.

Do deh on a Satdeh and if yuh like what yuh see, mek an appointment.

I was just going to recommend one small, and I mean <span style="font-size: 8pt">small </span> salon in Brooklyn. I think it is either on the same street as PDB's Church (unless he is at a new one) or a couple of streets over.

Prices are reasonable and she does a really good job. Just make your app't first thing in the morning during the beginning part of the week.

I'm trying to remember the name of the place. As soon as I do I'll come back and post it.

yuh lucky u doan live here. u cant get hair braided fir less dan $150 and u affi be frens wid di hair dressa or know smaddy or sinting like dat fi get dem deh price deh.
