the white dress is too clubby for a wedding

but I would suggest since it is a beach wedding you do something tea length if you want a longer look since it is sunset otherwise the dress will be dragging sand all over the place.

will the wedding be on the beach itself? if so you have to allow for a 'no shoes' look for the dress as well.

they will be wearing shoes...an yes it is on the sand. i still want to go for a more formal look.

BEACH WEDDING ATTIRE SHOULD BE PRACTICAL
Beach wedding attire, whether you are having a formal or informal beach wedding, also needs to be practical - for example, even if you are having a formal wedding on the beach, <span style="font-weight: bold">the bride and bridesmaids probably shouldn't plan to wear high heels </span>- they just don't 'work' on a beach!

So, again, even if you want a formal wedding on the beach, you might want to choose fabrics for your dress that are lightweight - and not have yards and yards of it!

By 'light,' I mean that it should not be 'dark' or 'heavy.' Generally speaking, beach wedding attire should be light-colored - whites, beiges, and pastels - although black tuxes for the guys works on a beach, too. Beach wedding attire for the whole party should be lightweight, too.

<span style="font-weight: bold">I already mentioned the bride's and bridesmaid's shoes, particularly for a formal wedding. But footwear for the whole wedding party can run the gamut from very formal to barefoot - again, it's a matter of personal style and taste. And, for practical purposes, it depends on the terrain, too.</span>

BEACH WEDDING ATTIRE SHOULD BE 'MINIMALIST'
Even for a formal wedding on the beach, there's no need for a lot of extra 'frills.' For example, the women in the wedding party needn't wear gloves - but they could (and probably should) wear hats. Accessories might include things like ankle bracelets instead of fancy necklaces. &quot;Less is more&quot; when it comes to beach wedding attire that works.

the bride &amp; bridesmaids at the beach sunset wedding i attended last june all wore flip flops and they looked great.

they even had a basket of flip flops available for attendees who needed them

thanks againg bandance for posting dis. i actually lost the link you posted it for me once alrady wen i had my wedding dress thread going...

For myslef i am pretty sure i am going to go for wedge heels. i just cannot walk good widdout mi a little bit of something.lol

if the girls want i guess they could wear really fancy thongs...most likeley it will be wedges though. i have tested them out and they work just fine in sand as long as they are comfy and not heavy.
