Hair Oil

This discuss already? Either way I need a good hair oil/moisturizer to put on dry hair that won't weigh it down but adds a nice sheen.

I have been putting a likkle likkle bit of castor oil gel rub up in my hand, but even that too heavy plus it having the opposite effect my hair looking a little dull by the next day.

So any recommendations?

Wha kinda hair yu have? an what part of the country you live in? Warm, Mild, humid, cold, dry?

It's relaxed and long, it doesn't tolerate oil well, hairdressers are banned from puting oil sheen spray on my hair. I am in Texas there is some humidity but its not too bad, temp hanging between 50's -60's now.

i hate it.

even the so called water based moisturizers mek me want to wash my hair after a few days.

maybe me just use too much.

i have ORS Carrot oil
Mizani rose?


maybe the trick is to just to use a little bit and only a couple times a week (note to myself)

I started using this one a few months back and love it

It doesnt weigh my hair down or get it too greasy by the end of the week. Since you live where the humidity is higher, you probably only need a bit of it, The gloss and sheen it gives my hair is amazing:

I also got this one from my mom last week when she returned from New York. She bought the line from Carol's Daughter. I like it especially for my scalp when it is dry outside, but you really have to use it sparingly on the rest of your hair.

For any oil product I would put it at the roots only and then brush it thru your hair instead of putting it all over your head. This might help with the weighing your hair down issue.

Ok good suggestions here. Maybe Nylah is on to something about the whole not rubbing all over my head thing? I have heard of some of these before so I'll check them out and see which one is &quot;most economical&quot;....

Yes, I stopped putting hair oil all over my head and noticed a vast difference. I dont get the weight issue anymore and you'd be surprised how well brushing moves product thru your hair.

but if u doan rub over u hair then what's the purpose of it? esp since is the ends u dont want to get dry?

i would think that the oily looking moisturizers would weigh u hair down more

my scalp very sensitive suh me doan put none a dem ting (only shampoo or conditioner) directly on my scalp

I was thinking the same thing CB, but I think she saying put in on the scalp and when you brush/comb your hair that distributes it throughout your hair.

But I am with you on the ends looking dull and wanting to rectify that quickly.
