...how thick/thin is your locs?

I just double my locs up for the 2nd time...when I started out they where way too small so my sister joint them together for me..Now that they are getting longer they look too thin for the length. I like thick locs so I joint them again.

mine are a little smaller than pencil thin. i have fine hair at the sides and back of my head.

yeah as they get longer i've had to join some too. i will soon be able to get them all in a bun comfortably. i used to envy my girlfriends very thick locks, and sometimes still do, but a ponytail would be as thick as a tree stump for her.

my hair is thick and because the locs are small..(some are half the size of a pencil) it's a lot of hair on my head so I double them to make each one the size of my pinky finger.

When I wash my hair its just too much locs to go through and groom..now hopefully it will take me half the time

after 16 years my locs have gone through many stages

i have cut them, joined them, interlocked them, palm rolled them

usually i tighten the front and rip the back apart so it doesn't grow into one big loc

once in awhile i get them professionally groomed

i love my hair

I feel you on that Seveen..I love my natty

I just don't want to have them too thin as they lengthen. The texture is GREAT and it's healthy

i think the longer locs get - the thicker they need to be - i've had some skinny ones break off

but of course hair texture makes a difference too

i always get asked why i cut mine

i don't like wearing them in a bun or a updo - all the time - too much tension on the edges

i can't even imagine how long they would be if i didn't cut them in 16 years

i had in friend in the UK - it took 2 people to wash her hair - and 2 days for it to dry

it didn't get washed that often
