I read recently that the practice of brides carrying a bouquet dates back to when people had a bath once per year, so for weddings that took place sometime after the annual bath, the brides would carry the bouquets to mask the smell; i.e. their body odor and presumably, that of others as well. Makes sense in that era...
So being a guy I've been wondering: has anyone ever seen or heard of a case where the bride didn't carry a bouquet? Would something like that be considered a wedding faux pas?

So I just have to visualize you with one hand by your side and the other holding on to the giveaway somebody?
Either way, it's good to know that there is at least one person who went without bouquet. I am so unconventional that I quite like the idea.
