And on the topic of bleaching:
Smaddy (let's call her 'Mz Thang') is a heavy bleacha from dem stawt mek bleaching creme it seem, an when she deh a yawd (har primary residence) she no go out eena sun shine. If she must, she's just rocking some breed a turtle neck, hat an dawkas - yuh ooda tink say she a some celebrity a try go incognito...
So, she decide fi come gi Canada a try. All she hear how wi a bawl how it cole cyaa dun, she figa say dis is wha har skin need fi maintain its lightness an so she can have a moment of 'consciousness' an puddung de bleaching creme.
Mz Thang is now suffering from shock. She's been here from when wi stawt save pon daylight an smaddy lack awf de heat an opn up de provincial freezer. She now had a 'better' reason fi wear har turtle neck sweaters, plus coat an scarf an gloves and toques & face mask an dem ting dere. When wi tink say it was de cole dat was slowly driving har into catatonia, we get fi find out say it was har realization dat she nat maintaining her 'lightness'. Dat har skin was 'reverting'...
I gotta say, I was a little surprised as well. I thought the bleached look was a permanent ting - if you avoid the sun and whatnot... but I guess not?
