de reason me ask is caz i was doing some research on a hair care board..someone posted that she'd used biotin successfully and right away everyone start ask how many <span style="font-weight: bold">inches per month/dosage </span>did their hair grow

jaded yuh haffi understand seh dem ooman deh ovah the long hair place(and others) are <span style="font-weight: bold">obsessed</span>, and need help. reminds me of the lady who saw me in the pharmacy once and seeing my hair, immediately start drill mi what type a conditioner mi use etc etc.


i have no desire to attain length or to discuss it

if smaddy a guh tek biotin it should be for healthy hair/scalp and not for length fawt.

not only the obsession but the amount a time dem spend pan dem hair, makes me wonder, where do they find the time to do &quot;other&quot; things in life

mi barely can find the time fi wash mi hair once a week and style it miself, much less fi dem 3 time a week weh dem a gwaan wid.

So is biotin a pill or what and is it healthy to take/use?

i have seen it so far in pill form, not sure if they make a liquid version of it.

it has been recommended(sp) by some dermatologists to take to promote healthy hair/scalp growth. (i have seen it mentioned in various magazines)

many african american women suffer from various kinds of hair loss, from the hairline loss to the top of the head etc.

in the same article i had read that if the scalp is not healthy, and becomes damaged it is easier to lose follicles and not have regrowth.(balding)

i am not sure what the FDA's official opinion of biotin is though.

its a B vitamin...also, found in food

I'm taking a capsule..it is good for hair/nails

mi keep figetting seh it inna some food, prolly cause is not the fuss ting dem mention when dem a bruk dung the food.

dem list everything else and usually leff out the &quot;presence&quot; of biotin.

she'll have to conduct some research to find the right dosage...but I believe 5mg is the one that pops up most frequently and what my dr recommended for me

she should also speak to her derm about trying &quot;nioxin&quot; products, some women have responded well to it, including AA women. oh and mek sure she sees a derm who specialize in her skin color it makes a world of difference.

yuh know mi not even did a think bout dosage mi have one bottle inna mi kitchen cabinet and mi remember fi tek 1 tablet every 3 mths clearly i need some kinda schedule or one a dem old people pill ting (the one wid the days a the week pan it)
