Let's start with a list of what you should not be thinking when you dress for work:

Great! I can head straight for the beach from the office without changing!

Hmmmm.....I don't remember getting a rip in these pants.

HMV will give me a free CD for advertising a local rock band on my t-shirt.

Wow! I'm going to get an amazing tan on my shoulders wearing this outfit.

I hope my circulation won't be affected by the tightness of this outfit.

People will think I work at the local fitness center part-time.

This outfit is great! Right after work, I can head straight for the nightclub.

I was planning on washing the car when I got home, so this outfit will do.

With these shoes on, I can go for my afternoon run right from the office!

the HR officer send it out to all one hundred and odd of us in the place including him boss with the dress code attached.

We have a couple of those in my workplace.

He's really good at what he does and he tries to add fun in whatever he is doing. Where do you hear of the HR guy sending out a new HR policy requiring you to nod and smile when you see each other as an April fools joke.
