i started my dreads after braiding

i started tightening the roots while the fake hair was in and palm rolling them

when i had the braids removed - i washed my hair but did not comb through it

i palm rolled each &quot;twist&quot; and just keep maintaining the twists until they were finally dreads

no one at my job even noticed the transition - they thought i had my hair cut

i'll see if i can find a picture to scan - this was before digital

i can't think of one of my dread sisters that regrets dreading - i have total hair freedom </div></div>

and Phatty, you seem to be good with hair...can't you maintain them yourselves? </div></div>

I've tried but they never held

I will try the second time around but I'm waiting for my hair to grow out more.

after 6 months there was no combing my dreads out

and i found the hardest thing to get folks to do when they start dreads is - leave them alone!
