depends on how small you make the plait/twist them (that's why I mention twist) small you can just fluff it up. big u may wet and comb it through. I find that just putting in a moisturizer overnite it combs through just perfect.

Phattu ... you dont want to know about my straw set ... it lasted a day ... I think she used a gel and I had to sit under a dryer ... much respect to unno women who sit under those hair dryers.

I've tried all of these suggestions and my hair cannot stay moisturized throughout the day. By mid day it is dry, has no sheen whatsoever. It's coarse. I'm not tender headed yet my scalp is now tender and it hurts.

I can't do it no more I've tried and tried and it's getting to the point where I'm not happy wearing out my hair because I know by lunchtime it's gonna be untouchable and shrink even lower to my scalp.

It was nice but i'm done.

I cannot say I feel you pain as I just wash in the morning fling in some condition then rinse, towel dry and go bout my bizniz.

Mebbe you doing too much why not just, wash use some avocado mashed and olive oil, leave on when you shower/bath then rinse and see if that help combat the dryness.

Did that, did it all. I just dont want my hair to look dry. My hair doesn't take oils my hair doesn't take product period.

After a year and some of dealing with it and looking at the cash I've been spending. That No-Lye doesn't seem too bad.

If you know it's going to 'look dry' by midday, why don't you apply some oils (like olive oil - that's what I use) <span style="font-style: italic">at</span> midday???

There's no law that says you have to oil or condition only once per day, eno...

Nurture the hair like that until it only requires the oiling once per day or less...

Girl I have been where you are and you know it.

I spent tons of money on all kinds of products...Redken, Organix, Garnier, IC....you name it, I used it. Just like you, I was looking for instant results.

There was one time where I was willing to perm my hair and just say [censored] it, but I held on a little longer.

The texture of our hair may be different, but the issue is the same....finding something that works for you.

If you use mainstream products that are not made for OUR hairs, your hair will always retaliate. Those products are made to remove the oils from the hair and our hairs NEED the oils. See the contradiction?

Seek out natural products for your natural hair and you will not experience any dryness.

Twist with olive oil or coconut oil (found at the health food stores) at night and wear loose during the day will minimize the stress.

Try styles that does not require much combing.

Go to this website http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myaox...eature=channel and then navigate from there to get some inspiration.

It does take a while, but please hang in there. It will be worth it!

mi never tell you that u shouldnt be stressing u self trying to get the loose hair thing every day ... do some twist out or something like that or a 2 strand twist and that will not look dry right away and after you have taken care of your hair like this for a while you may be able to wear it out more. as Nunya say there is no law against adding some more moisture during the day. Dont give up so quick ... phattu.

I only air dry in twists if I plan to leave them that way it can be painful to come those out...

Phattu how small you sectioning for drying ... I know mine is different because i dont have to section to dry or at best 3 and I'm done in 10 mins but maybe you are making the sections too small.

I blow dry my hair straight this morning so I can put it in a ponytail...suh dats why it tek suh long...an it painful nohmattah how mi deh dweet.
