In a bit of kitschy news, a groom in the northeastern region of Jilin province, China surprised his bride with a dress featuring a 1.2 mile long train, reported Reuters.
It took the bridal party -- who did more "to have and to hold" than the couple -- over three hours to unfurl the gown that included 9,999 red silk roses scattered along the lengthy extension of her dress.
The couple has applied for the Guinness World record.
Groom Zhao Peng was inspired after seeing the former Romanian record holder's dress with a train length of just under a mile, cites the source.
We'd like to see someone attempt to beat that!
