Creme hair question

Inspired by a few threads in here.

MGee mentioned there was a wife swap show where a little girl who was black did not want to go into the water sayka her hair being cremed. The child was about 10 or so.


What puzzles me is that is it that difficult to wash, condition and plait a child's hair (even after it creme) so they can go enjoy the water?

I wont even bother commenting on the need to creme a child's hair yet

mother probably do all that on sunday already, and tired and dont want to have to do it again.

me nuh know, my neighbour never wash her dawta's hair for bout a week after she was in the pool...she tell me the little girl have "strong hair", so is alrite.
(and her dawta hair not relaxed, probably just the washing , detangling and re-plaiting process she neva feel like do again- the daughter has long thick hair)

i think of it as mommy & daughter bonding time.

when i was young we hair did plait enna de evening and in the morning

i suspect that she plait it and it stay a couple days.

her mother have a baby, and work full-time so i doubt that twice daily plaiting going on over there.

twice daily only go on here for when she wash her hair (for whatever the reason)

was reminiscing the childhood ritual.. plait in bout 7 at night wear in two next day ting

chlorine mess up creme hair, mek it trashy, no? or mek braids and artificial hair lose lustre.

the little girl from what i could see, just wasn't into any activity at all. dem did try a one point fi run har dung with a garden hose but she got very angry, and was talking about her hair.

awww kia, that's so ole skool.

when my girls were younger they had a babysitter with a pool. summertime, dem hair get cornrow once every two to three days the pool actually mek the cornrow dem loose,otherwise a woulda once a week.

but chlorine does that for everybady hair..

funny mi will use any kind a shampoo but my conditioners.. i am very picky about for that reason.. I generally use a regular conditioner in girlkia hair, rinse it out and then add a leave in conditioner

most if not all the things that come out of a child's mouth comes straight from the child's ignorant parents

my cuz wife put likkle creme inna the daughter hair

anyhoooooooo likkegen is going into the pool everyday and since the other girl can swim she wants to go into the pool as well.

cuz wife tell daughter (after a washing session) that she cannot go back into the pool all week cause she nah wash and dry again

why should a small child have to be burdened with dat foolishness ? kissteet

mi did suh annoyed and just end up washing the child's hair when I was doing likklegen hair.

wash chlorine hair with a clarifying shampoo first this will restore hair (if possible use a charcoal filter on showerhead to get out hard deposits)



then follow with a moisturizing shampoo, followed by a moisturizing conditioner.

a little gloss on hair and just plait in 2 braids for ease &amp; time constraints( especially if the child swims daily)


<span style="font-weight: bold">for extra care</span>-use a solution of your choice of your fav conditioner or leave in treatment to coat the hair before the child goes into the pool, this will protect hair slightly and prevent sun fried chlorine hair


suave has a clarifying shampoo for 1.99-2.00 very cheap
