Re: Facial Moisturizers
skells....essentially they all have the same ingredients (unless they have special ingredients such as retin etc) and its not really about the best, but what is best for your skin type & environment.
ms exced nothing wrong with it keep using it if it works for you,
keep in mind, your moisturizer should change as the weather changes where you are. also for maximum results, gently slough off the dead skin regularly, handle the skin around the eye very delicately, and use one with SPF.

those creamy things clog my pores. it's either that or rosewater and mineral oil. but i'm trying this. bio oil is supposed to be extremely good.
------------------
**Bio-Oil History**
Scientists for years have attempted to develop a unique oil that will replicate the same properties of the human skin and they did this by bizarrely enough, studying ducks.
After studying the preen gland oil of a duck, skincare scientists realised it was possible to recreate this uniquely formulated "dry" oil for use on human skin, this formulation has now come to be known as PurCellin Oil - one of the uniquely essential properties of Bio-Oil.
"So how does it work and what are the ingredients?"
So now we understand the basis of the main, unique ingredient of Bio-Oil - 'PurCellin Oil'. This ingredient works by coating a thin protective layer over the skins surface aiding the penetration of the other more common natural oils that Bio-Oil contains: Lavender, Calendula and Rosemary Oil. This is something that no other product on the market does. This is why I find Bio-Oil to be so special.
Bio-Oil contains only natural herbal ingredients and has no preservatives (Unlike a lot of products nowadays), it is not tested on animals nor does it contain any animal derived products!
There are also more beneficial ingredients to Bio-Oil, these are included to work in conjunction with the PurCellin Oil, and these are vitamins A & E - the vitamins that are required to maintain healthy and supple skin. It may also be worth noting that I have very sensitive skin but can use Bio-Oil without suffering any form of a reaction.
So, so far, we have a unique combination of essential oils and vitamins, if that isn't good enough it even has chamomile extract to help soothe your skin too!
**Application & What Can It Be Used For**
Bio-Oil is non-greasy and is a very light formula, it is clear in colour and if making comparisons is probably the same consistency of baby oil. I simply apply Bio-Oil to any part of my skin and get dressed straight away as it doesn't rub off onto material.
-Use on the side of caution as with any oily product a little really does go a long way-
After application, it doesn't leave your skin with an oily appearance… it simply looks soft and supple that's not to mention the lovely linger you have on the tip of your nose from the added collection of naturals oils.
There is no limit as to how many times a day you can apply this oil as it's totally natural. I tend to use it morning and evening although in the beginning I would apply it more frequently to my scars.
As I find, Bio-Oil isn't just another beauty product on the shop shelf nor is it another beauty product that claims to do something that in fact it doesn't actually do.
For scars:
I apply a small drop to my scars once or twice daily and have done for the last 3 months and the difference in the appearance and size of my scars is quite dramatic. It doesn't matter if your scars are new or old ones although it is advisable that if you use this as soon as a wound has closed up, it will significantly reduce the scar more than if you leave it a while. I have been using this on both new and old scars of mine and it has produced overwhelming results over a short period of time. The redness has lessened thus becoming less noticeable.
For stretch marks:
Most people get stretch marks throughout their lifetime and although we all know they change from purple in colour to silvery white, this oil can help reduce the appearance of any existing ones anywhere on the body. I have used Bio-Oil daily, again for about 3 months, on my stretch marks and again have noted significant changes. They have lessened in colour and size - this has been my true test.
Bio-Oil is also totally safe to use whilst being pregnant and is ideal to prevent pregnancy induced stretch marks on the breasts, hips, thighs and stomach. My sister-in-law swears by it now as it was so effective for her.
For blemishes:
Even out your skin tone for a more youthful look and reduce the appearance of pigmentation marks and blemishes by applying a small amount to any necessary area - yes including your face. I use Bio-Oil as part of my daily facial skincare routine and as I find, you only need 3 or 4 drops to cover you whole face and neck area. My skin seems to look and feel more even and has a nice healthy glow to it now whereas before it was dull and dry.
For ageing skin:
Use a small amount to any area of the body to plump out wrinkles and prevent the ageing process. Bio-Oil produces a toning effect almost immediately, so after long term use, just imagine how youthful you're going to look.
Although I don't really have wrinkles at my age, I can still note that my skin seems to have a more youthful feel to it and I suffer less dry patches than I did before. My eye area in particular doesn't seem to look so dull and I have noticed that I am not getting as many spots.
As part of your general skin care routine:
This is perfect for anyone suffering from poor dull and dry skin resulting from extreme weather conditions. I suffer from dry, cracked hands because of the weather and find such soothing relief after rubbing a couple of drops of Bio-Oil into my hands.
As a treat I also get my boyfriend to use it as massage oil (Back, hands and feet), it doesn't clog your pores and smells wonderfully relaxing so nobody need know about this little treat.
You can even add a drop or 2 of Bio-Oil to your bath to create a relaxing and nourishing bathing experience. It doesn't leave a scummy residue on the bath let alone your skin - this is something else I would advise you to do, as the sensual lavender helps relieve daily stress and tension from your mind whilst the moisturising properties of the oils penetrate your skin deeply.
There are too many uses of Bio-Oil to list so it makes an all round perfect product for skin.
**Results After Continuous Use**
Okay, so having used this product for about 3 months now, I have to say that the benefits are as extreme as you will get from any beauty product on the market to date.
My scars have dramatically reduced in appearance and my stretch marks have lessened in colour and size. Although, this oil does not work miracles by totally getting rid of imperfections and marks that our skin has, it certainly is a very good step to maintaining healthy skin and youthfulness.
My skin seems to have more natural colour and is plumper looking. I look healthier than I did 3 months ago and have a much more even skin tone. It won't work overnight but with perseverance, Bio-Oil will be loyal to your skins look, feel and health. If what I have witnessed is the result of only 3 months use, I can't wait to see what the results are in another 5 years time….!
**Packaging & Contents**
Bio-Oil can only be purchased in 60ml bottles, and although only 60ml's sounds like it's not much, it will last a long time (A bottle lasts me 3/4 months). It is contained within a distinctive white box that displays orange text on every side of the outer packaging…. making it hard to miss on the shop shelf.
If you are unsure for yourself of its benefits… just read the box as it summarises everything you could really want to know in making a purchasing decision whilst standing in the middle of a shop.
Contained inside the box, along with the oil, is an information leaflet that advises you of its effects etc etc.
**Where To Purchase**
Bio-Oil is available to buy on both the high street and on the internet in 60ml bottles.
I purchased mine from Boots for £9.39 so you can use this as a guide price, although I believe I paid at the higher end of the scale for it.
Some pharmacies stock this as well as some supermarkets too.
It is also available for sale on eBay - this is probably a much cheaper method than buying on the high street.
**Further Information**
For further information you can go directly to the Bio-Oil website:

i'm a sucker for everything
