just last night i bought a burgundy -
<font color="brown"> actually it's more this colour, like a ruby red but deeper </font> coat. it's light. it lights up my face. and it's warm. i needed a new coat. thank god i didn't buy the one fi $250 at fairweathers [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

mine has kick pleats at the side [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70365-flirt.gif[/img] and because mi soh short it nearly reach mi ankles dem. now i need di rahtid boot [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

it even almoas kinda match mi hair which i why i had to buy that colour caz my hair tends to bleed out on light colours [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70361-embarassed.gif[/img] can't wait till it washes out more [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img]

o yeh. i got it at SIRENS in dufferin mall $79 on sale down from i forget what, but also a 10% discount [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

damm now i need a skirt to wear to my christmas party which is not a made in india peasant skirt [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70400-talktohand.gif[/img]

i use to hate those down filled coats, but as i get older ~~ sigh ~~~ i understand the practicality of a warm yet stylish coat that doesn't weight me down, over say a lightweight leopard skin faux fur from mendocino that costs $500 and mi haffi call taxi caz mi can't walk outta door in deh how it stylish and can't keep me warm [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

Stopped into Pennington's Sunday an si one nice skirt een deh fi fawty dalla but mi neva buy it.

I always thought Pennington's catered to de granny bingo-playing crowd... but they surprised me...

Got a pair of tan linen pants marked down from 89 dalla to ten dalla...

just about all the stores in the eaton center. all they have is cheaply made overpriced crap :bawl out: yeh and more cotton peasant skirts with sequince on them :bawl out:

i'ma gonna try the hong kong mall in china town on my way home. they usually hve good quality hk stuff and if it's a pants i won't have to have six blasted inches cut off.

the same old derivative ish. except for the feets first store where they sell the mephisto/walking on a cloud stuff. you CAN get a pair for roughly $140 with good grip but no style. just basic. like a 60 y/o lady would wear

or maybe i can't find something because i actually have the money to spend and don't want to part with it ~~~ feh~~~~

So yesterday my shoes fell apart right outside Zhers (sp) which was right next to Zellers...

I hobbled past Zhers, cursing them for not carrying boots (they carry every damn thing else) and into Zellers, where I spent a good hour agonizing over their low quality, uninspired looking boots...

Necessity forced me into making a purchase and I walked out of the store in some decidedly BUTCH looking boots... [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif[/img]

some of those dyam ugly low quality boots can actually be the best winter boots out deh. dis mawning mi get up look outta winda. mi have eida mi running shooz or mi $4.50 payless boot dem weh mi buy two years a back.

hear dis: bout two years ago, the payless pan bathurst street were selling winter boots in the summer 2 for 9 dalla. so i bought this boot weh fayva moon boot but it tall up to my knees. anyway dis mawning a dat mi nack aff and wear inna di 6 inches a snow. the zipper is kinda broken tho, so i'm still looking for good walking type boots.

what i'm really searching for dressy FLAT heel black boots caz the one i'm wearing now is beginning to hit the leather at the front and you can't fix that. these ones were from brown$.

now i'm having a stroke caz all the knee length boots are high heels, or those imitation frye boots or 80's retread that you're suppose to tuck your jeans into because tht's what ll the sheep are suppose to do this season [img]/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif[/img]

all i want is a dyam dress boot in black with the really pointed toes that i can wear skirts with and still look hip. i donm't want dem dyam cowboy boot retreads needa.

that's what i hate about the fashion industry every store sells the same thing per season [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] i had to go to little korea to find a long black dress skirt to wear to my christmas party last night. i didn't need to have 6 inches cut off neither [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70371-jump.gif[/img] and i have a beautiful skirt that i can wear out to dinner or any other occasion [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70371-jump.gif[/img]

if all fails i'm going to the holt renfrew last call store. they always have a good variety there if you can find your size [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70384-praying.gif[/img]

anyway hear dis. yessideh mi and some people deh pan di elevator. this girl come in wid har highly styled spike heel boot dem. she get aff di elevator and wi hear "plakamplak". one of the ladies ball out "o my god, her heel just broke".

I'm telling you Sue - nice dress boots - for function (good walking and warmth) do NOT exist this year!! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img] You will have to by two pair.

One -ugly and warm for trudging through snow and slush, and a nice pair for the dress occasions.
