Maybe the economy is making me waste less or maybe it's consideration that we waste so much but I realized today that dyeing was one way to give some of my favorite clothes a little lift. For e.g., I have a really nice cotton black sweater that has faded over the years but I can't bring myself to give it away 
I bought some Rit permanent dye. I dyed the sweater as well as a few other pieces that had been splashed with bleach They came out great! Now thinking of rejuvenating a couple of brown tops
