So what do you suppose will happen to my jacket?

I have a nice little white fake fur mink jacket with a hood that does have a little real fur around the edge. It's prolly around 1970's or so and very cute but they wanted 40 bucks to dry clean it with the fur method, and said the regular method would ruin it. Well, it's nice but i'm a jacketholic and don't have the 40 bucks so I decided to take a chance and throw it in the washing machine! Hmm, it's washing right now, I wonder if it will be ruined or nice and clean and wearable again!

heheheh...

I used regular laundry soap but I was watching and saw the suds grew huge I might have to give it a second rinse. It's on it's second spin cycle now!

I did have it dry cleaned a few years ago and boy it is one beautiful jacket! It's been in the closet for oh, about 5 years and I'm all in love with it again but not for 40 bucks, hehehe! It will be fun to see what happens!

Well jaith it turned out just fine! Of course I used the gentle cycle, I did have to rinse it twice and did see a few soap bubbles in the second water so I'm glad I did. In the dryer first I used just air dry but it was taking forever so I changed to the moisture sensor to shut off at "less dry" but I took it out before that happened, I didn't want the lining to shrink!

I now have a new to me again old jacket! [img]/forums/images/graemlins/bannana_purple.gif[/img]

<font color="blue"> yes I was pleasently surprised when I saw the email that it was fixed! They had it 8 business days, it will have been gone a day less than 3 weeks but it traveled over the new year holiday and that cost me a few days there! I cannot wait to lovingly re-attach it's neck strap and insert it's battery and card and turn it on! I'll be sitting here waiting on my lovely UPS lady all morning, I usually see her by 11! </font>
