How often should a weave-in get washed?

Does the same washing schedule apply for sew-in as glue on?

Can glue-on be washed?

What is used to remove the glue when the person is ready to take off the weave?

pepper it all depends on personal preference. if you sweat alot etc and the products you use. i think every two weeks is ok for weaves. both sew and glue. u have to be really careful with glue in though...by two weeks alot of it (if its done by gluing tracks to ur scalp) start to losen anyways and i may be time for a touch up. i would recommend u wash and remove the glued in tracks and get it redone. if dat is not an option then u can just re-glue as needed but be careful u dont overdo it. dats what cause the hair to rip out...too much glue.

there is also the type of glue in that they do witht the flat iron. weh dem glue the hair directly onto your hair. that type of bonding seems to last longer than the tracks. i would assume max once a week for washing. but i have only had the other type of glue weh mi mention before so i am not sure.

You can wash bonded hair as long as is only the ends, but if u waan u scalp wash then it makes no sense cause de weave gwaan wash out.

I would only recommend bonding in weave if u plan to wear the style from 1-14 days. Depending on the style and whether it hafi comb and style regularly, the pull will loosen the glue and u might can touch it up yourself or return to your stylist.

I rarely do the bonding thing unless is a stocking cap mi a do caw de glue wi nyam out yu hair...so if mi want add length fi a special occasion, mi wi glue in 3 tracks inna de back or sumthing.

If u sewing it in, then u can wash every 2 weeks. That lasts longer and if de thread start loosen, your stylist can tighten it up like new too...mi also notice dat wid sew in hair, after it wash it look an feel better an more natural dan when yuh fuss put it in.

There's also wigs, 1/2 wigs and lace wigs if u jus waan tek on an tek off as u please

Just asking cause the stylist was telling me sew-in can last a long time.

Sorry, I wrote the wrong thing. She was claiming glue-in can last long. Didn't believe it, stuck with the sew-in and came here to check out her claims.

Glad seh yuh neva believe har....weh Bizi seh is true......especially about the hair looking much better after it's washed....
