So i've been in the market for a new Flat Iron since mi drop an bruk de Solia - I (I think I mentioned the mishap in TLC thread about her natural hair progress - If I am not mistaken I think she is using the Sedu?)
Anyway I bought a fairly cheap wet 2 dry one at TJMaxx and was using that until mi mek up mi mine.
That one was just ok - had to put the iron at it's highest setting 410 - to get hair straight and I would have to go over the shaft a few times to get the natural curl of my hair out totally. Only good thing was that it eliminated the blowing.
Anyway last week I decided it was time to stop being so indecisive and I took the plunge and got the CROC INFRARED FLAT IRON. 1 1/2 inch
Folica has it listed at $165 (I think) and the 1 inch @ $150 - however I was able to get ti on Amazon @ $89
Folica confused me at first because they have it listed as the CROC 2 - and on Amazon it's just the CROC INFRARED and I was not sure that it was the same product.
SO i called up TURBOION who is the manufacturer and was told that the CROC 2 refers to a totally different flat iron and the infrared has just one model and 2 diff. plate sizes.
I mentioned to the girl that I would probly buy it on Amazon and she immediately admonished me and told me that Folica is the authorized seller... in response to my inquiry as to what difference it made - she said they would honor the warranty only if ti was bought from an authorized seller. She then went on to lement how they cannot control these rogue sellers etc. I clucked sympathetically, promised to buy from Folica... hung up and purchased it on Amazon.
The iron works amazingly and does everything they say it will do and more... I am
- it leaves my hair shiny and soft and bouncy and just feels great! 
IMPORTANT: some reviewers said they heard or smelt burning while using this product - it is important to note that the directions say NOT to put any product on the hair before use... that would probably account for the burning...
It also has a wide range of heat settings to suit various hair textures.
If oonu remind mi I will update this review in 3 months and tell oonu if mi still love it - since I have only used it once so far, i'll update you on condition of my hair etc.... right now it gets
