Girls Night In

I have a cousin who is coming over for the night on Friday. She is going through some tough times emotionally and initially we had planned to do a little Halloween get together for the girls (she has a daughter). But now I think we should just do a girls night in...facials, mani/pedi, makeovers....and of course a chick flick. I picked Diary of a Mad Black Woman

What products would you recommend we try? Any fruity smelling scrubs/masks? What about for the feet?

The last girly party I went to was a recession proof kind of thingy. All of us went home with goodies.

I left the baked goods there, but did enjoy learning how to make my own scrubs.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Basic Recipe</span>
Course Sea Salt or Sugar (if you want fruit flavoured scrub)
Baby Oil (or another oil depending on what you want it to smell like)
aromatics (lime, orange, mint, rose petals...again, depending on the smell you are trying to achieve)
container to store it in.

Our girly flick was <span style="font-style: italic">The Notebook</span>. Wine was the drink of choice. Pandora was music venue...

I may organize an evening, myself....

I love the Notebook! It is the only movie that still makes me cry even though I have seen it numerous times.

RE the homemade scrubs...that is a great idea! I should go look up some more recipes online and see what i come up with


I am skipping the wine and going straight for the hard stuff nah....most likely I will start off with a couple bottles of Smirnoff Ice and take it from there

ETA: I went thru my drawers in the bathroom and found a jar of sea salt scrub for the pedi...the man had got it for me last year and i had it sitting here all this time and never used it

or just watch some comedies, relax with some alcoholic bebridge and that's it...

We did just watch some so called scary movies on BET and chat fawt. Good times
