Confirmed : Thief nabs 153 bras</span>
Victoria's Secret employees in are looking for a little support from local police in finding a bra thief that struck the Northbrook Court store last week. According to a Northbrook police report, someone swiped 153 bras from the women's undergarment store between 7 and 10 p.m. Dec. 20. The bras' total value was estimated at $9,675, an average of more than $63 each.Police have no suspects and aren't sure how the thief managed to steal that many items, said Northbrook Police Department spokesman Michael Shep."I'm assuming it was a display in the front of the store. They just come and sweep them off the display without being seen," Shep said, adding that police have seen that type of maneuver in other retail theft incidents.A Northbrook Victoria's Secret representatives said workers at the store could not comment on such matters. A representative from the corporate offices, however, did provide a statement:"We are aggressively working with local law enforcement authorities to address this incident and deter future such thefts. For obvious security reasons, we cannot discuss the specific loss prevention measures we are undertaking."So what does a thief do with 153 stolen bras?"That's a good question," Shep said. "I don't know if there's a market for stolen underwear or what."
