I doan think it has anything to do with the wrap.

I've been wrapping my hair for the last 4 years and mi hair nuh nyam out or nutten.

I don't wet wrap it though, so I dunno the effect of the wrappin lotion. I always do a roller wrap. That way I never have to use a curling iron...the set usually gimme bounce and likkle curl fe last fe de week.

My stylist said it could be the flatbrush? [img]/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] I use? Anyway, I've been reading the link Coolbeans sent and I've picked up a couple ideas. I think I may need to moisturise more. My hair is very dry.


Your hairdresser should give you a hot oil treatment and you should use a good leave-in conditioner to protect your hair from the elements and keep in moisture.

I wrap my hair every night, it look-s a mess sometime-s, I have to much hair.

Using wet anything on your hair excessively will dry your hair out. If you are used to wrapping your hair you shouldn't need to put anything on it. I wrap my hair every night and use this mesh thingy to hold it in place and then I use a silk stretchy scarf over that.

My hairdresser did say to watch how I start the wrap.. and to use olive oil at the base of the front of my hair.. the brush use could thin out your hair.

I use a brush that looks like the ones you use to brush an animal [img]/forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif[/img] then I smooth it out with a regular soft brush before wrap.. in the morning.. hair done. [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]

I didn't think it mattered which way you wrap your hair.. I can still wear mine with or without a part and on any side of my head I want [img]/forums/images/graemlins/70402-thinking.gif[/img]

oh.. and I wrap clockwise [img]/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
