Gonna keep this one short n sweet

Day 1 Saturday:

I was not looking forward to flying on Caribbean Airlines (CAL). After hearing negative feedback from friends and family, I was regretting that I didn't book AA instead worse with Magic and Natalie a stress mi out about not getting on the flight

Anyways, flight to Mobay was @ 2:30 and very on time. Thank the lord...I had a window seat and was so used to seeing the Air Jamaica colors and logo that when I looked outside and saw this, I had to double check to make sure I was on the right plane to the right destination:



Somebody please tell me who/what is Sun Country airlines and why they are operating on Airj/CAL routes

Immigration took about an hour as I was stuck in the visitors line Gotta remember to renew my Ja passport cause the nationals were breezing thru the airport...

By the time I got to baggage claim, my luggage was already set to the side...I took a look at Nothing to Declare line with @ least 30 ppl in each one and 1-2 in the Declare line and decided to go with the latter...
The CO didn't even question me, she signed up my doc and told me to enjoy my stay.

Stopped by the taxi desk and got a driver to take me to Digicel on what I guess is the hip strip then to my hotel. Hotel of choice in Mobay was The Royal Decameron: I'd heard mixed reviews about this spot, but I am glad I didn't listen to the bad reviews because I actually enjoyed my stay here.

Fancy (dat dam diva) LOL had arrived the day before after checking in, I headed to the room to drop off my bags, survey the grounds and meet up with her.

This was my first time really vacationing in MoBay. I've never really been drawn to this city as I'm a die hard Ochi lover and Kingston person and between those 2 places, I get my fill of relaxation, nightlife and comfort.

I wanted to go out and meet ppl to try to find out where (other than Sumfest) is a good place to party later in the night. Fancy had already been out on the town and as we walked from the hotel and down the hip strip, all kinds of people were calling to her and hailing her up like she live been there forever

We stopped at this spot...can't recall the name of it "Havana Cigar Lounge" maybe or something to that extent. Maybe a MoBay person can recall the correct name. The bartendress mentioned they were having Latin night, salsa dancing, etc starting at 9 and that we should come back.



We never went back :whistle...Moving right along to Margaritaville






The name of this bar/club tickled me



On previous trips, I'd always rent a car and do the driving but I was not having it this time. I wanted to sit back and be chauffered around and drink to my heart's content so on this walk, we were also trying to find a driver that would take us to Ochi @ a good rate.

We walked down to the park, passed a couple taxi stands and the cheapest rate we were getting was $US75. I was positive I could get less than that The sun was setting and we were getting hungry so we headed back to the hotel for dinner.

The hotel was All inclusive and they had 2 dining rooms: One was buffet and the other was A la carte and required reservations. We went with the buffet and lucky for me cause it was seafood night:

I was told that the food could be better, but it was pretty good to me

Once dinner was done, we retired to our room to shower and nap to go out later in the night..
