Feeling a little depressed back here in London, so took myself off for a lunchtime walk. Went into Marks and Spencers and browsed. Tried on a skirt suit - not a bad fit but didn't buy. Remembered that I need shoes so went to that area and tried on
A French woman asked me for her honest opinion on footwear she was trying on and I helped her out. She said me that style I had on made me look old! How can shoes age people? (I have to say I am only now, at almost 44, attempting to find my own style). She said the shoes would be fine if wearing trousers but not skirts.
This style, apparently, suits me much better!
I have to say, looking down at one on each foot, she had a point. However we disagreed on the skirt lengths. I haven't worn a skirt above calf length in a long time. She said older women in long skirts was ageing. We should wear knee length or just above like her grandmother!
Miss Lady looked like she was in her early 30s.
