Salma Hayek Nuance Line

Well I stumbled upon this at CVS and I am pleased

I started with the Nuance blue agave curl cream - it is light and works well with my hair. Love this










Then as I ran out of my current line of facial products (Patricia Wexler, MD) I bought Nuance Oxygen Activated foam wash ... very, very nice and does not dry out my face.
















Finally, I ran out of my 30 SPF day moisturizer and decided to check out Nuance Renewed Radiance Moisturizing Day Cream ... This is perfect for my face and a little goes a long way

Been reading good things about this line as well, which also uses mostly plant extracts. If I do try anything from the line it will be the eye cream.

Pz do you plan to restock your Wexler products ?

No, Gen. Although I have been quite pleased with the Wexler line, I am waiting to finish out the products then replace them with Nuance which is a lot less expensive.

I am really glad to see that Nuance has a daily moisturizer with SPF 30 :loveout; I go nowhere during the day without anything less than 30 on my face - not even for a morning run!

For anyone looking solely for drugstore products,these usually get good reviews from the industry as well as Derms.

<span style="font-weight: bold">Roc</span> (the retinol is actually decent for a non prescription alternative and milder for newbies)
<span style="font-weight: bold">Olay</span>
<span style="font-weight: bold">Aveeno</span> (the &quot;positively radiant/positively ageless&quot; line)
<span style="font-weight: bold">Loreal</span>

Don't forget <span style="font-weight: bold">Avon's</span> Anew (which supposedly has a killer anti aging cream and much cheaper than the high end ones) which I have been meaning to try all these years but never got around


And <span style="text-decoration: underline">some</span> of the better products from the drugstore cost just as much as Wexler (between $15-42)

I was in the pharmacy couple weeks ago and saw this crack head stealing the Olay products I know it wasn't for his face


Note: some of the products in each of the above brands, not ALL of them, are worth it.

Used Roc before and love it... Also use Olay and Aveeno face wash

So Peasie, are you still pleased with Salma Hayek's Nuance line?

I purchased the foam cleaner and the daytime moisturizer over the weekend. The cleanser seems ok, today is my first real trial. I'll see what it does after being out at work all day with a made-up face.

The moisturizer seems ok so far. The instructions say avoid contact with eyes, if it gets in eyes flush, etc etc. So the first time I use it, I rub it on like I normally do with moisturizers...including rubbing over my eyes. A get a piece a burning sensation!!! Then I remembered the instructions. I flushed my eyes and all was good, but I really am concerned with the fact that the cream would have such a harsh effect on my eyes. I have never used a moisturizer that requested that I exercise caution around the eye area.

It is just a couple days for me, I'll be back in a few to give a full review.

looks like the active ingredient is what is usually found in sunscreen avobenzone

you should return it or just keep it away from the eye area AND use a seprate eye cream

I use the cocoa firming lotion ....it helps but don't look for miracles...

Yes I am still quite pleased Especially the day moisturizer with SPF 30

I don't use the curl cream thing any more as I am now using DevaCurl product in my hair

So I am a couple weeks in, I really do like the foaming cleanser. I love the way it cleans off all my make-up with one washing. Dr Wexler's cleanser sometimes required two washings to get my face totally cleansed. The moisturizer works fine, it does the job. I am not overly in love...at least not yet. It says to give it 30 days and I am just two weeks in.
