State the relationship of the chemicals to something else but there are enough black women who have never put any chemical in them hair for this claim to have substance. I have never relaxed my hair dont plan to and if someone should ask me MY OPINION I would tell them to leave their hair the way God made them. This thread is not about possible negative effects of relaxing one's hair but linking it to fibroids which is what I am addressing. I address each issue on their own merit and this time the piece does not have much if any substance a mere coincidence. There is more valid research out there seeking to understand what causes fibroids and those I will willingly support as I know what suffering these can cause and this article trivializes a serious problem black women have to deal with IMHO.
If someone is anti-relaxing or other chemicals in a black woman's hair say so on your own.

I have a friend who is home for 3 months now from surgery to remove a 7 lb fibroid
.. She has been wearing locks/twist and chemical free for 13 years. I so agree with you about the lack of substance here
