every time during the winter months, my skin gets extremely dry, and itches like crazy, so afta me dig it up and tear it up, me end up wid some ugly black spots, pan me legs and me arms,

now summer a come and me waan get rid of those ugly marks,

wha me fe use,

can bleaching creme help, or it a go mek me skin worse???

me go derm dr, and dem only gi me more medicine, so de itching goes away, but comes right back

bleach cream mite give u immediate result but alot of ppl i see bleach end up with acne...but maybe legs and arms would be different.

mosquito did nyam mi up bad bad the other day and i have been using bio oil, olive oil, vitamin e oil and ne other oil mi ketch. took about a month before i notice ne change. the spots are still there but not as obvious....

or maybe mi skin get darker from the sun who knows. at ne rate all the oils make my skin feel smooth and nice.

Vegas, me did deh from day one, a creme up wid vit E,

but fe de summer, me a go look like zebra,

(maybe i should try the bleaching creme, but wha, me can put it in like dots/spots, lawd a dots me say... )

i don't know the causes, different sources have diff information as to the cause, some cite environmental and/or hereditary auto immune

your best bet is to use a mild/natural body wash/soap and some mild skin lotion

as for the &quot;hyperpigmentation&quot; caused by the dark spots, even if you used hydroquinone (in a bleaching cream), you would need to try and protect the skin by wearing sun block (since the sun will make the spots get worse).. what mi saying is that direct SUN will cause yuh black spots fi get worse suh even if yuh get rid of them, you need to protect your skin going forward.

Try <span style="font-weight: bold">pure unrefined Shea butter</span>
have a family member used it
she had bad egzema left spot
all over that stopped the itching
and cleared up the spots she
saw results in 2 months
do not use the one that is mixed
best if you go to the health food
store and her dermatologist is the
one that recommended it

Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) in pill form may be taken for the itching. Caution - you should not take this medication if you need to drive a car or operate machinery as it will make you sleepy.

Clean the area with a hypoallergenic soap every day. Apply lubricating cream or lotion after washing.

Avoid physical and mental stress. Eating right, light activity, and adequate sleep will help you stay healthy, which can help prevent flares.

Do not expect a quick response. Eczema is easier to control than cure.

aunti Ctry how much water are you drinking as well.

Olive or coconut oil helps with the thick butters for your skin too. What I do is I have a coffee cup warmer and I put the coco butter, shea butter or whatever oil in there and it is warm. When I get out the shower I pat dry, add the oils onto my body. I dont have eczema but I know this feels good so may help

Don't shower in HOT water during the winter months it dries out the skin even more.

Gen, tanks....it seems it always aggrevate me in the winter months, but this winter has been worse - den when spring and summer finally come around, and me stop scratching, me end up with all these unsightly dark spots,

tanks Rivers, (unrefined) shea butter - yeah I usually get this in the african stores, but it hard as hell, i usually soften it in the microwave, guess i could do this in the evenings, in the mornings it would just take up too much time, but tanks luvvv, cause me did feget bout shea butter and how it good!!

I suggest two things - first you need to know what your humidity is in the room (especially your bedroom)



This one is not as expensive as many others, and will give you an idea what your home is doing to your skin.

Second thing i recommend, is a humidifier. depending on the size of room, you should check with a local hardware store to see what will cover your bedroom (or which ever room you spend the most time in)

i think my prob is hereitary.....i remember my Dad, god rest his soul, him use to itch his fingers.....on any surface him ketch, concrete mostly..
