I had my dermatologist remove a darker freckle that just appears this past Fall and it tested out to be melanoma. I'm really scared. My mother died from ocular melanoma. My dermatologist said we caught it early. Any other people who have this form of skin cancer on the board? Any advice?

Re: MELANOMA
Fantasythe important aspect here is that it was caught early.
Melanoma is the most serious form of skin cancer. However, if it is recognized and treated early, it is nearly 100 percent curable. But if it is not, the cancer can advance and spread to other parts of the body, where it becomes hard to treat and can be fatal. I would suggest you limit your sun exposure. take care

Re: MELANOMA
Update: Well, I am still here and never had a reoccurance of melanoma. I invest in top of the line vitamins supplements and am leaning towards some organic foods now too. Boosting the immune system is very important. Thank you for your support.

Re: MELANOMA
Sure - I'd be glad to share my regimin.
Some of these vitamins are common sense that pretty much everybody is familiar with. Others were recommended to me back in 2009 by a naturopath that I went to.
Vitamin C 500 mg daily but 1000 - 1500 mg daily in winter
Vitamin D 1000 IU
I do the Tiao he Cleanse twice a year for 15 days when the weather changes.
New Sun product Green Drink in a Capsule (2 with orange juice in morning and 2 with dinner every day)
Thai Go drink (this juice comes in a tall bottle and is a bit expensive but only take one teaspoon a day so it lasts for months - It is a powerful antioxidant that contains mangostreen juice from Thailand and other juices)
E-Tea capsules (take these just occasionally)
Pau D'Arco capsules (take these just occasionally too)
And a new one I added a month ago is Mega Red Krill Oil. My OB/GYN recommended that one and I'm not even sure why! (Very nice pill and easy to take - small pill and yes, it is red!)
Also, I occasionally purchase E-Tea powder (you can purchase a bag from a guy off Ebay for $ 9.95 with free shipping and stir into boiling water - it'll last you about a month or more - this is the famous Essaic tea formula which you can read about on the internet)
Additionally, I cook with coconut oil now and I sometimes buy flaxseed oil and take that. I find both oils delicious and do not mind them one bit!Last edited by Lee; 07-02-2018, 12:46 AM.
