Getting pregnant while on the pill

So you on the pill and you get pregnant....you usually take it religiously but you leave home for the weekend (3) days and forget the pill. You get back home and try catch up. like double up

Will this hurt the baby? a mean the pill in your system and you still taking it until you realize you are pregnant.

Stormmey, I don't have any personal experience in this matter, but I'm going to have to say no, it doesn't based on what I have seen from my friends.

Enough times, I've had apparently very fertile friends on the pill who still got pregnant and said they never missed a dose. (I can't vouch for that though.) However, I know quite a few who kept taking the pill until they found out they were pregnant and they have perfectly normal, attractive, and smart children aka no apparent side effects.

No birth control method short of abstinence which technically should not be considered birth control is 100% effective. I think millions of others continue to take the pill while not knowing they are pregnant so there really should be no problem.

No. And if you were drinking and smoking, the baby will be fine.

In the meantime schedule an appt with your OBGYN and let her know if you have any concerns.

I don't know about this part because my mom was drinking and smoking (cigarettes) in the first trimester with me, and I still don't know if I came out alright lol.

Well, it didn't affect my performance in school so that's something to look forward to.

Seriously though, everything is going to be fine. Don't stress yourself. I think you might need to be vigilant with applying a good skin cream to your belly daily though.

What the pill really do is to create a condition in the ovary similar This being pregnant.
As a result the lining of the ovary will not allow the fertilized egg to become embedded.
if after a person take the double up late rise That egg is still attached it will not harm the development of the fetus.
Since pregnancy creates a condition in the ovary similar to being pregnant.

Hunter shoulda drown wid di amount of tequila mi drink before mi know im was coming. then once i found out....is solely ice &amp; watermelon me eat for about 3 weeks.

as everybody tell u its not an issue. if you were trying to get pg, the docs would say allow 3 months for the hormones to get out of ur system before u start try but dats is not even necessary. mi no know y dem even bodda saying dat.

lots of women drink in dat first 4-6 wks b4 dem find out dem pg.

life is just so funny. a woman cam miss a few pills like ur case an get pg while others are off for months before they conceive.

I don't smoke......actually if I remember correctly sometime the beginning of April I went into the liquor cabinet for a drink poured it and immediately felt like barfing.....just the thought of a drink now make me want to puke.

Doc. says it is no big deal but I still was seeking reassurance from here
