A German national accused of claiming to be a medical doctor and injecting a woman several times in her buttocks to get rid of her stretch marks was yesterday denied bail when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court.
Charged with breaching the Medical Act and overstaying is Sven Littkowski, 43, a computer programmer.
According to police reports, the 30-year-old complainant was at Emancipation Park in St Andrew in late April when she met the accused and his friend and quickly developed a friendship.
On May 4, about 4:30 am, she was reportedly at Littkowski's home watching television when he told her that he was a doctor and could enlarge her bottom and remove her stretch marks.
The complainant reportedly agreed for Littkowski to get rid of her stretch marks. The accused then reportedly told the woman to remove her clothes and injected her twice on the left and right sides of her bottom.
According to the complainant, shortly after she told Littkowski that her bottom felt numb and he started to kiss and fondle the area to relieve the numbness.
The complainant further alleges that after a few days the uncomfortable feeling remained in her bottom and she told the accused that she wanted to visit the doctor and he promised to give her the doctor's fees. However, she said he started to give her the run-around and she reported the matter to the police. Littkowski was later arrested and charged.
When the matter was mentioned yesterday before Resident Magistrate Lorna Shelly Williams, Littkowski's lawyer told the court that her client denies the allegations, which she described as 'farfetched'.
She told the court that her client's instructions are that he did not inject the woman and that she is a substance abuser.
"I don't understand how you can meet someone at the park, follow him home and then let him tell you that he is a doctor and inject you," the lawyer said.
She then asked the magistrate to admit her client to bail as he has been in the island for over 10 years working and has a fixed address. However, the magistrate refused and remanded him into custody until June 7.
