painfully cold extremities

My hands and feet are always painfully freezing cold (to the point of numbness interspersed with pins-and-needles pain) from October until May. They turn white/pale, and feel (to others) like blocks of ice. Nothing works to warm them up; I've tried woolen socks and gloves, silk glove liners, running them under hot water frequently, electric hunting socks - everything! Nothing works.

Anybody else have this problem?

Anybody have any suggestions that I haven't yet tried?

Anybody have any ideas why this happens?

my younger daughter suffers this. it's some syndrome. can't remember the name.

No, my doctors tell me that I don't have Reynaud's syndrome.
