The thing you show up there was a retainer. After you get through with the braces, you have to wear a retainer for a couple of years to keep your change in place. If you don't then it doesn't go all the way back to the way it was but it doesn't really hold.

I don't try to encourage Rich, but I can't argue that he might be right this time lol.

No Tulip ....that's a pic of the braces I am wearing now . It is clear so it seems all you are seeing are the wires. The thing he showed me that is a retainer is much smaller and is removable.

Those look great Wendy. The look like they ought to be scented or something. The retainer looks as normal and that's what you have to wear later to keep your teeth changes in place. My teeth remained straight but I allowed my gap to reopen. There wasn't really anything I did special but that's the way things worked out when I quit wearing my retainer.

I had to double back on this. The clear look great. I don't know about them or the ones you wear on the back of your teeth.

Yeah dem call it ceramic . I didn't go all ceramic dowe. Only at the top. The whole idea is that it wont be too obvious that you are wearing braces. The downside is they stain easily. Soh mi an curry and coffee have to part ways fi now

First thing that crossed my mind was coffee but curry can put a hurting on a even a good white bowl.

Anyway they must be providing something other than hydrogen peroxide to keep them clear. I am so impressed with the look of them.

I would give it a try just to continue to keep my enamel white. Colgate will come up with a good product if they can. I don't even call toothpaste toothpaste. I have been chastised for calling everything Colgate.

wendy after di teeth dem settle in a day or two u should be ok fi eat most tings again. mi did haffi carefull di day of an appointment (like when dem do an adjustment) caw everything hurt. mi usually eat mash potato and bully beef (mi did deh a yawd when mi was wearing dem). porridge was a good option but i think i lived on mashed potato till di teeth dem sekkle.

u can eat:

oatmeal
banana
cottage cheese
strawberry (any berry)
fruit chop up suhmall
cooked cabbage

u have options man. just don't falla mi and nyam banana chips (di tuff one dem from up yah) a suh mi bruk mi retainer

My adjustments never hurt. I had been prepared to experience some discomfort but didn't ever have any. It might have been due to the orthodontist I was using or maybe I have a high threshold for pain. Either way, I could certainly feel them been tightened but it didn't hurt. I would describe it as a slight pressure.

Thanks FT. Today marks one week and the chewing is not all there yet. Still haffi a chew gingerly . I stocked up on green banana..cause mi boil and crush to eat

Fruits - Yes I taught berries (and apple) this time. The apples will go to Jan. Mi have a sensitivity to them now.

Hmmm... never thought of cabbage but that is a good suggestion. LOL at the banana chips. Las night mi give im an dip mi tuff crackas inna mi tea fi soak it and even wid dat, mi could barely bite down on di crackers . I had to give up. **sigh**
