i like the sleevs with wicking technology
or if u worried about tan lines do the sleeveless

CB...running just isnt that deep. Few rules...everything else is strictly ones preference.
<span style="font-weight: bold">Here are the rules:</span>
Buy good shoes (to be read: Dont be cheap)
Buy a good bra (applies mainly to women)
<span style="font-weight: bold">"ILP Only" Rules</span>
Have good chunes
On long runs (runs that are longer than an hour)..have access to water, fuel <for me that could be anything from oranges to twizlers to jelly beans
Chunes
Running Pants that fall just above the knee (I am more comfortable in those) and shorts...well...
Chunes <see the pattern?
NO shirts/pants made of cotton (when wet they weigh down and stick)
Sunscreen. Period.
Body Glide (for long runs)
Beenies (for race days only)
Dri-Fit Socks (just cause I like them and they dont roll down in my shoes)
Buy little (besides shoes/bras)....I dont really need to as I get enough shirts/tees, jackets, tees at running events. The stuff I get is a mix of both Dri/Fit, Wicking, Quick Dri...all of them work for me.

Wendy, mi just seeing this and
at the arm exercise LOL!
I'm not a morning person and if I do exercise (run, bicycle or something else) in the a.m. hours, my brain is wired that my body must get a good physical workout in the evenings. Personally, I see no difference to my brain and body that morning exercises are better... with the one exception that it is better to do my long runs in the mornings and that way, I have the rest of the day to myself.
If it's just regular jumping around cardio and strength, the benefit for me is still the same for mind and body.Comment

CeaBee... you know a one time mi eva spend money on a running shirt. Every running shirt that I have is via the race packet goodies bag. But definitely get a dry wick shirt.
As temperature goes up and by then I'm in race training, these I must have for comfort:
Good pair running shoes (for road and trail) - [shoes must have cushioning, stability and motion control]
Very light dry wick top (some times I will dish the top and run in my sports bra)
Loose running shorts (the itsy bitsy type)
Good comfortable sports bra that will not scratch my skin
!!!Sunscreen!!!

today I ran the st louis marathon ... chip time 4:38.
i think i did very good, given that i haven't yet officially started my marathon training (not 'til next month) and i signed up for st louis on a last minute. my first (excl. 13.1 ml races) long distance run in close to a year. st louis marathon is growing in size... 15000 participants. only drawback...i got jabbed in my breast by an elbow swinger ... it was almighty painful.

SandiF them kinna time is awesome, as St.Louis is quite a hilly course ahn then to do it without following a training guide.
you ahn mi both, with schedules that begin in the next few weeks. mi juss a try soak up the last few weeks of peace before mi get out deh to get ready for fall.
mi have a question though about St. Louis...them nu have wave/corral starts?
cah me'd haffi tump smaddy if them touch me during a run. them allow too much unetiquette people on courses these days. them juss nu know common course conduct again.
