So I went to a new dentist today, regular cleaning and ting.
The hygienist do har ting and then the dentist come check out mi mout.

fuss ting him seh
"oh your bite needs fixing braces we can fix that" $$$$
Nex ting him seh
"oh you have mercury fillings and they are falling out we need to change those" $$$$
Afta dat
"oh you have a root canal you need a $crown$" $$$$

When mi goh fi pay mi bill guess what was the total?

I am convinced that man is satan himself. Him look pan mi chart an si seh mi have decent insurance and instantly him determine fi suck out every damn dalla outa it.

My regular dentist (who is the father of my BFF) has NEVER mentioned any of the above (except the bite)

Cho I only went there because it is round the corner from my home and my regular moved out of town and only comes in every 3rd saturday so I was looking somthing more flexible. so mi noh haffie use up mi weekend. pan a conman scam artist.

AND get this, one of my co-workers was complaining bout how the dentist she went to want fi change out all her fillings an bout how she need root canal wid crown....come fi find out SAME TEEF I bex soh till yu si

a so dem stay and yes, when dem see sey you have insurance, dem all go book appointment widdout your consent and if yu nuh show up dem waan charge yu $25 for missed appointment. a dat this damn doctor office a try do to mi!

i had a similar experience where dem all find chip pon a tooth in the back of mi mouth and a write up cost estimate to fix it (and other things)

for some reason (probably the exorbitant estimate) me end up at another dentist and when i tell them what the first dentist did tell me them seh &quot;we 're not like that here..&quot; meaning that of all the other dentist did tell me, most of it was minor stuff that really didn't need any work.

well nu feel alone...mi cuss off this new dentist wi go to since wi reach texico. the last visit them num mi to fill a cavity and do you know them try charge mi fi each injection when is THE DENTIST miss Then the assistant gwine do har &quot;are you numb test&quot; basically a glorified frozen q-tip on you gum and try charge fi that the last bill was almost $300.

let's just say mi negotiation skills get it drop down to $105. dyam ginals

years ago mi change out mi jamaican filling dem too. mi did juss never feel right wid di amalgam of metal dem. feel like dem wuda maybe leech inna mi system. mi also change it fi vanity sake too. mi did have one pon di side weh mi feel did visible when mi smile suh mi used to never waan skin mi teeth. now mi have porcelain or sinting like dat

When I started my job I signed up for the HMO dentist plan cause I was going to another dentist in the other state I was living and everything was always fine. Mi come a dis one and is like di dentist a tell mi say mi neva brush mi teet fi a hundred years and everything that could be done to mi mout he want to do..I was like yu mad? Di best part was him say after insurance my portion would be $3000 Oh an den dem say they can't do my cleaning cause they backed up for months but if me do all dem tings cho dem can fit mi in fi dat right away...

So mi tek up mi self go to another dentist in the plan, buck up di same ting. Mi just say you know what you get what you pay for &quot;free&quot; HMO plan is crap, so mi have to wait a whole year fi enrollment fi open back up and end up kindly shell out di money fi real dentist and that has been fine.

I hear they don't make any money on the cleanings and the dentists are under pressure to upsell treatments...its terrible.
