I remember someone on here posted a picture of some croc shoes once, some laughed and some said that they loved them. Well I was the one who laughed and called them ugly saying I wouldn't buy such a shoe to wear. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70388-shameonyou.gif[/img]
My bosses went to Palms Spring for a week, I was feeding the baby his dinner when the phone rang. My boss called to check up on things and he had a question that his wife had asked him the question was "what size shoe do I wear?" I told him a 7 I was trying to tell him not to buy me anything, but he was talking fast and had to go.
The baby's mom came back Sunday and Monday morning she had laid out some new shoes for her son. A pair of cute dark blue crocks with all types of charms on them, rocket ships,crabs, sandbox toys etc. Awwwww they were really cute, but not too practical for a 1 year old [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70459-hugs.gif[/img] I tried them on his feet and had him to try and walk in them. Well this was a sight, the shoes were big so they were slipping from his small little feet like flip flops [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] No way could he wear those out [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70388-shameonyou.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70388-shameonyou.gif[/img] I'm not running around playing the where did the shoe fall off game. My boss presented me with a plastic bag. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/gift.gif[/img] I put my poker face on and as you guessed it CROCS. I thanked her with my poker face still intact. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] Her explanation of buying these was "Oh we know how much you love clogs so we decided that these would be the best gift to get you!" "Oh, they did have some croc flip flops but we thought you would simply love the clog type."
Earlier I had called on of my girlfriend"s to see what she was doing for the day she suggested that I meet her on the other side of town at the playground and then after that we could take the kids for a long walk and then eat out. So instead of wearing my own shoes I may as well try and wear these crocs, at least they were black ones.
Well like the baby's my crocs were big too, but at least they were flat and I could have a healthy walk while pushing the baby in the stroller. Sees my feet and right away says that my feet look like I was wearing my grandmas shoes." Well I guess like I looked like a little black dutch girl, something about them looks like those hard wooden dutch shoes to me. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] Yes they are light feeling but now my feet are sweating from the long walk. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img]
Correction they only way my grandmother would have worn them would have been while she was attending her garden and only then my grandmother loved high heels and wouldn't be caught in public wearing these. The funny part is when I got back to work she also pointed out that I could wear them to the pool.
