you know as a model she probably never have a opportunity to really give it a rest, or at least she had her look and was sticking to it.

Anyway bald is in, she should just go bald and rub some castor oil pon har scalp. Is that permanent damage though?

Yes her hair damage is permanent. Beth Israel hospital in NYC is doing a research study with the NIH on black people and alopecia (sp) (don't know if she would qualify). When she reach menopause she will be bald as a johncrow.

She's had this problem for quite a while so I'm sure, it's permanent.

I've had hairdressers tell me that once your hair follicle is gone - that's it - ur done. You cant get that back.

Maybe there's something we're missing because she sho nuff has the money for a transplant but hasn't done it. <span style="font-size: 8pt"><span style="font-style: italic">(I sure as heck would)</span></span>

Maybe her case isn't conducive to a hair transplant ...

SHe's had this problem for a good # of years now.

maybe she fraid a needles the transplant nuh look like fun (aldough mi sure dem numb/knock yuh out)

depends on the extent of the damage to the follicle, whether it can grow back or not.

BUT we know she a do this from 19howlong suh I would bet it is permanent damage. not even likkle castor ile can help her out now.

And Gen you're right - she HAS been doing this for donkey years so all manner of damage has been done to her hair - I'm sure it's not something she can fix, else she'd have done so already.

But if she were sensible, she'd stop stressing out the remainder of her hair - what little she has left, and<span style="font-style: italic"> ress off di blastid weave, extension and whatnat</span>.

At least - that's what I'd do.

That's a great idea -- she should come out with a line called &quot;Naomi Island Wigs&quot;. In the old days models of color used to wear wigs which was not bad for their hair but since the advent of the braids and weaves they have switched to those styles.
