Moroccan Oil

I have been hearing wonderful things about Moroccan Oil and the amazing way moisturizes and de-frizzes hair. The price is high, around $40 for a little over three ounces. I got a small sample bottle and applied to my hair yesterday while still wet after shampooing. I didn't put any other treatments in the hair.

The oil felt light and non-greasy on my hair, so that was a good start. I decided to roller-set to give this oil the easy route to shiny results. I was so disappointed with the results. I ended up having to pull the hair in one and clip on a ponytail. There was no shine and lots of frizz.

The bottle says rub on either wet or dry hair. So this morning I rubbed some more on and again it felt light and non-greasy. I flat ironed my hair and bumped the ends....still no sheen and while not frizzy it is pouffy.

Anybody use this oil with any success?

i think you mean argan oil. i use it on my skin. i purchased an 8 oz bottle for 150 dirham...close to 17 dollsrs.pure argan oil. it comes with a shelf life..best used before expiration.

i am a fan of argan oil ...did a post about it few months back.
i use it on my hair.
it isn't heavy or greasy feeling and my hair is shiny and soft after I use it.
since moving to the borderland my hair had been very dry and had lost its body.
the argan oil put it right back on track.

I usually see mixed reviews. mi nuh have any reviews cause mi not spending so much money on any oil (not even lavender, which is my fave) so mi nuh even know what to suggest.

some of what is being sold is not the pure oil, but a derivative/blend of some sort, so be careful you get it from a reputable place.

yuh still have relaxer ?

Actually, the name brand of the product I received is Moroccan oil, the 'oil' in the ingredients is argan.
I tried it again this morning and this time I put a bit more in my hair. Seems like this product doesn't 'gree wid me head. Glad I got a sample and didn't shell out $40.

Thanks for the links. Seems like commercial brands, similar to the sample I received are not rated as highly as the pure argan oil. I might check Sally's this weekend and see what they have.
