So mi finally decide fi go grace Target wid mi presence. First of all, what's the hype? It just looks like a slightly renovated Zellers to me... they have the same colours, the same layout, the same crap at the same prices...

the only difference is that nuff black people did een deh! I was taken aback... a de fus mi eva si so much black people roun dem way yah...

Anyway, mi buy a pack a gum, so fi no mek it look a way...

btw, the women's clothing and purses were just ridiculously meh...

We don't really have no hype bout Target

Is just a step up from that W place for me because it never seems to be as crowded, and I can usually find an employee if i need help.

Maybe it was just Canucks creating the hype??? Dunno... but I was less than impressed... and the bloody place was packed! I thought maybe there was a sale on or supm... but noooo.... just lotsa neva-si-come-si... (which I guess, included me for a minute )

And oh yeah, what's with the Starbucks????

When my niece enrolled in college in Oakville, ON, I shopped for her dorm stuff at Zellers where I found the things she needed - comforter, linens, lamp, toaster oven - but the variety was poor and the hip factor was OK. Later I shopped Target in Ohio to outfit my son's dorm room, first apartment, etc. and found way better variety, coordinated linens, etc. Hip factor =

In my limited experience, I don't think some Canadian stores compare exactly with the US stores. For eg, Ikea up your way scores three s while the one by me only scores one

I not sure when i will ever go ... I like target in Merica for the quick run without auctioning u pickney but them not any better than Walmart ... them starting off the cashiers at minimum wage or close regardless of how long they were with Zellers ... My experience from Jamaica influenced my pay with both employers I have had since moving here so more on Target.

I'll def go back for my hair products, cause that saves me the long trip of going to Square One... but otherwise, I think I'll give Target a miss...
