I don't have any pictures from the photographer yet and I haven't had a chance to ask friends and family to send me theirs.

The week before the wedding was so ridiculous, with the boys starting school and not being able to get back to NY until late Friday night. By the time we got back home Tuesday night I just wanted to sleep for a week.

Since then I've been trying to get somewhat organized, unpack and put away everything, and get the house the way we want it. At least for now. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif[/img] And yes, performing my motherly and wifely duties. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/70409-waytogo.gif[/img]

<span style="color: #3333FF">SO we got into NY at about 3am Friday night/Saturday morning. We stayed at the Brooklyn Marriott, which is nice, but considering their room rates you would think they would offer free parking and free internet access. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad2.gif[/img] Even the motel 6 has free internet access. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img]

We checked in, which seemed to take forever for it to be so damn late, and I was soon passed out in the bed.

Saturday morning I called my dressmaker and arranged to meet with her. Fortunately, she only had to make small adjustments and I was able to get back to Brooklyn with the heavy-[censored] dress. (I didn't bother to drive, parking alone would have taken longer than the train ride.)

Got back to the hotel probably around noon. My hair was in rollers and I still needed a mani/pedi, didn't know who was doing my hair or makeup, and the boys and MrBlue hadn't eaten anything.

We ventured out to the Fulton Mall where the boys ate something quick and I was looking for something that MrBlue could eat. (Does anyone know if that fish place is still on Willoughby? It was somewhere between Flatbush and Jay, on the left side when facing Jay.)

My sister calls and tells me she's downtown at Duane Reade so we plan to meet there. So we're looking for her while I'm looking at last-minute makeup stuff and she calls me wondering where I am. Well, I'm in the Duane Reade on Jay. She's in the Duane Reade on the other side of the mall. So we waste more time waiting for her and her alien child ( [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] ).

Forgot that one of the brats needs shoes, so we stop at one of the stores and pick up some shoes, more time-wasting and it's back to the hotel. I have no idea what time it was by this time, probably after 3. I still haven't had my mani/pedi. The ceremony starts at 5:30.

I run back outside looking for a nail place. I know there are a bunch on Livingston, but they all seem to be toward the Flatbush end. Finally changed direction and found a place toward Willoughby. By the time I left there, I think it was 5.

Ran back to the hotel, heading for the escalator, I spotted two of my guests. Shorts and tank top, hair in rollers, one of them saw me and was about to say something to his date but I ran into the elevator. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img]

Upstairs, the room is chaos. My bridesmaids are there, I'd had to leave my cell to charge so I had about 20 missed calls and messages. My officiant was there, anxious. I had to jump in the shower and start getting ready but the room was a mess and I couldn't find anything. At least my flowers were there.

In the middle of getting dressed and ready my photographer and videographer came up and began their work. [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/rolleyes.gif[/img] [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/704555_dwl.gif[/img] The photographer, I felt sorry for him because he couldn't get anything that he wanted when he wanted.

So okay, my hair and makeup eventually get done, I'm dressed and veiled and somehow, my sister's alien child has squeezed her way into my wedding. I had no intention of having a flower girl but because my sister put her in a white dress (Nevermind that I told my sister not to dress her in white.[img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad2.gif[/img]) , everyone assumed that she was the flower girl and prepped her and sent her downstairs with a basket of flower petals. I have no idea where they even got the flower petals.
