Oil or Conditioner for Locs??

Ok, Imanni's hair is looking good, but it does dry out really easy.

I have been using Olive Oil (as Vannie suggested) so it does not dry out, but mi noh like the smell [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/sick.gif[/img]


Do unno mix anything with Olive Oil to make is smell better, but not build-up?

Is there a conditioner in JA that I can get when I am there that you would suggest?

Is there another product in the states that mi can buy?

i like this but not too much oil because it will soften the hair and make it harder to lock

if you have some extra cash [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/helpsmilie.gif[/img] get his hair tightened in jamaica the day before you leave - no swimming after that

there are a couple of folks on the beach i like

my favorite for hair is probably Ann

she's between Bar B Barn and Bourbon Beach - just ask

i like jojoba oil.. light - easy to use and absorbed into the skin/scalp without weighing down the hair

there is another product i've been using because i can't find my Kemi Oil - it's called Doo Gro - consists of botanical oils - i like the Kemi Oil better but i got the Doo Gro from the supermarket

and if you are able to get Ann - or someone - to do his hair - watch them - so you will be able to do it on your own - tightening the dreads will make his hair look neat and also make sure that the new growth dreads - so his hair won't look like an afro with dreads coming out of it as it grows longer

Thanks for all the info, I hope that Ann or smaddy can make the locs look better...

I am going to go look for the Kemi Oil today.

The local place they say carry the Mango Lime ting noh have it in stock, and the website only have one shipping mode which tek too long fi get here...

I hope I find the Kemi Oil before I go, if not I'll try the Doo-Gro [img]/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif[/img] or find something in JA...

Imanni's Dad uses this product from warm spirit that I thought about last night...
