Ok I am brave and old enough to say that I remembered these skirts with the crinoline (sp). In those days people dress properly to go places even on the plane women wore suits, hats and gloves and men wore suits, tie.

That was a lovely time...
I absolutely enjoyed wearing those clothes...gather-waist, pleated skirts, puff sleeves, eyelet cotton, organza, glazed cotton, pedal pushers, smocking, cummerband, bobby socks...

I have a closet full of clothes from this time that I plan to start selling soon. I have had some of them for many years. I started collecting them in the 70's
