Festival

2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoon cornmeal
2 tablespoon brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon rose water optinal
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup warm water
cooking oil
for dipping
3 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon cornmeal

place the first ingredient in a bowl and stir with a beater, add rose water and vanilla to water,add water to dry ingredient,binding to form a soft dough. knead.cover an put aside for about 1/2 hour. divide into about 8 portions. flour hands and knead then roll and pull to about 6ins x 1 1/2 ins. dip in flour cornmeal mixture and fry in hot oil until golden brown,pierce with a fork while turning.
