I have about 20-25 people coming over for superbowl. Does anybody have any menu suggestions? I was thinking that I would serve heavy appetizers like wings, veggie trays, meat and cheese trays. I really need lots more suggestions so any help you provide will be appreciated.
Wings are always good football food. What about a giant sub instead of the meat and cheese tray? We once had a six ft. sub at a party, and it was a big hit. Don't forget the chips and dip, and tortilla chips w/ melted cheese and salsa in the crock pot is good, too. Super Bowl Sunday is the best, b/c you can eat tons of junk food guilt free
Jamerican71 yu goona fix the stuff yu self or yu gonna buy it,if yu gonna fix it mi have one nice recipe fi chicken wings an a dip recipe, let mi knoh seen
Dr. Bones and Grandma2 - thanks for the reply. The sub is a great idea and worth looking into. I'm going to buy some of the stuff and I'm going to make some of the stuff. Any recipes or help is still appreciated.
Guinness
Red Stripe
Heineken
Wray & Nephew (or any other brand of 180 proof rum you have left from your last trip to JA)
If you make sure you have any of these liquids readily available to your guests you won't have to worry one teeny bit about the food you are serving (or how it tastes) ...
Everyone will be passed out by half-time
BTW, grandma2, I'd LOVE to have your wings/dip recipe...pretty please?????

If there is a Sam's Club near you they have these sandwich rings that are fantastic (about the size of a large pizza with lots of meat, cheese, lettuce, onions, etc.) Serves plenty.
Pasta salads are cheap and easy to make. So is potato salad.
You can always BBQ some hotdogs and grill some jerk wings (even in winter - that's what makes them a treat).
A twist on the chili is to throw in some Velveeta and serve with tortilla chips.

Man, I wish I was gonna be there! It all sounds good. If you have a price club/Costco store near you (or maybe Sam's has them too), Get a bag or two of frozen chile/lime wings...they are so good. Also spinach dip in a bread bowl. And don't forget those little bowls of black olives, stuffed green olives, peppers, and little pickles. I also used to put out 3 or 4 bowls of mixed nuts.
