Does anyone have an easy recipe for boiled dumpling. I know it sounds crazy but I need one to put into a soup.

boiling water .... mix flour, salt and water. do not spend TOO much time playing with it.
shape and throw into the water.
one of my very few points of pride is making "hockey pucks" -- i mean boiled dumplings that one could course with a fork - no knife required!Comment

Boiled Dumplins
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
water enuff fi bind
place flour and salt in a medium bowl, work with hands with enough water to bind an make a stiff dough. shape into round disc,drop into boilin water or soup boil till float or 20 mins.enjoyComment

Hello,
I'm from an island off the coast of North Carolina. I make dumplins from my grandma's old recipes. Use it w/ boiled crabs, fish, chicken,beef.
Ingredients:
6 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup shortening
salt
baking powder
water
Mix dry ingredients for dumplin
Then add just enought water to make ball of dough
Roll out dough on floured surface til thin
Cut into strips. Put in stew pot w/ broth. Cook 30 minutes.Comment
