Candle Wax..

ok, mi nuh know where to post this, but since this is where you can get sensible answers...I'd like to know how to get candle wax out of my candle holders.

I want to change the scents of my candles in the Springtime and need to get rid of old candle buildups. Any quick way to do this without damaging the crystal holders?

Put them in the freezer. They will shrink away from the crystal and come off easy.

i put mine in a bowl with warm water-dont submerge them. the wax will slide away, then wash them in detergent

Ackeegirl, You could try wash dem inna de dishwashing machine. me fren has restaurant does wash them like that.

A trick when you use votive candles is to put a little water in the bottom before you put the candle in.. never worry about it getting stuck..

I do the freezer thing too.. sometimes it still is stuck.. i just dig and dig with a knife..

I've found that the freezer trick works best. Then give it a poke with a butter knife. The wax cracks and just pops away from the crystal. When you wash them use HOT HOT water to rinse away the residue.

QK, mi used only lilac and vanilla in the winter...Spring time i go for more flowerly scents [img]/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
