Re: Winter Gardening...
thanks, Sandi. i'm really looking forward to being a homeowner again, and getting my hands in the soil. I've been borrowing books from the library and the whole concept of winter gardening is quite intriguing - plants that come up from amid the snow (some hellebores); as well as plants that add structural interest during the winter - not just evergreens, but some grasses and trees/shrubs with coloured bark...fascinating stuff.
on the broadleaf thyme matter i've been sticking a piece of it in water. but no roots grow. the stem just turns black and rots. i think i even tried sticking it in soil once and same thing happened. don't know why...bummer...
