I love isce cream we have a place around here called marble slab, they serve homemade icecream that is sooo good. I get something different everytime I go, last time it was double fudge chocolate with mini chocolate chips [img]/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img]

This is so true, it is easier to buy, and may cheaper too; rather than making it from scratch. But there is some therapy in being able to make it yourself, and having that feeling of accomplishment that youcan share with otheers.
I liken it to paying $120.00 to go out on a boat to fish;but the limit on a particular fish is two that you can take home; it just feel good to say I did this!

my granie use to make this one back home - it wasnt creamy but it could pass

i tin evap milk
1 tin condense milk
some raisins
little rum

whip all together and place in freezer, remove before setting and whip again.

at times we substitute and put custard apple or soursop
