1. Did you grow up with religious beliefs, and if so, at what point/age did you start to question them?

2. What was so appealing about your subscribed faith (or lack thereof) that attracted you to it?

3. As you look at the world today, and the different challenges (starvation, war, famine, etc.), how does your world view inform/influence how you see things?

4. Do you think religion / spirituality serve a role or purpose in a culture/society?

5. Now, we do know that the various belief systems,science or philosophy, do not have ALL the answers to everything pertaining to our existence. Do you ever have any struggles with doubts in your current convictions, especially during the &quot;I don't know&quot; moments?

6.How do you motivate/inspire yourself (and others) during those difficult times in your life?

<span style="color: #006600">Oh yes, my family a sum big christian, my grandmother was a deacon an use fi preach, mi aunt sing an preach inna chuch. I questioned it all my life but was tought how much it is wrong to question God, question the bible or de passen. </span>

<span style="color: #006600">I have no faith. It was more life experience what got me out. Faith is belief in unverified thought, so if it can't be proven, historically or scientifically, I cyaan waste mi time inna it. </span>

3. As you look at the world today, and the different challenges (starvation, war, famine, etc.), how does your world view inform/influence how you see things?
<span style="color: #006600">The challenge seems to be for those who are in the need. Those that &quot;have&quot; seem to not want to deal with those in need. Often times those who &quot;have&quot; are the ons who have the presure pan de ones who have not or are in need.
My world view realizes that this is the world I am in (the world of the wicked) and many things I just dashweh because of the way I see things. Basically I work wid de cyaad dem weh dash at me de bess I cyan at any particular time</span>

4. Do you think religion / spirituality serve a role or purpose in a culture/society?

<span style="color: #006600">Yes, everything have it's purpose, of course not all of it is for the good of ppl.</span>

5. Now, we do know that the various belief systems,science or philosophy, do not have ALL the answers to everything pertaining to our existence. Do you ever have any struggles with doubts in your current convictions, especially during the &quot;I don't know&quot; moments?
<span style="color: #006600">The only doubts I have are in ppl.
When ever I don't know it has to do with smaddy.
I have no struggle with this current trod I am on.</span>

6.How do you motivate/inspire yourself (and others) during those difficult times in your life?
<span style="color: #006600">I look to the past, to the ancestors, to the things I have accomplished. I have the opportunity to go and speak at skkkools to the youth and try to give them upfullenss (upliftment), I seen the look on their faces when I speak truth to them on the subject matter and then what's going on in their life.

The creator has blessed me with a radio show where it now reaches a worldwide audience. I called it &quot;Positive Journey&quot; but at the time of naming it I didn't know it was going to truly take me as well as those who listen on a journey of upfullness and knowledge. Positive Journey's next step is to go on the road and spread truth from speaking and the music. But I had no idea I was going down this road.</span>

<span style="color: #006600">dem nuh really kno. Religion is a heavy topic in my family. Nuff licks drop ova going to church, late fi church, memorizing de 10 commandments and 12X tables. Parents, granparents could be/would be devestated when dem hear seh one a dem yute, one a dem family membaz is &quot;lost&quot;. So I choose not to put this on them. </span>

<span style="color: #006600"> My fadda and I always went to the record store from mi was a yute. Nuff times wi guh twin gates downa half way tree guh buy nuff record. Den up ya suh wi in toronto once a munt gawn a record shop. My parents use fi have parties a dem yaad atleast 6-8 times a year. It was de way de jamaican community used to come together back den. Oneday dem let me spin few records (at 6 years old) and I was in love wid de craft ever since. As fi de radio, after djing parties all de while, I found myself wanting to be a radio jock. A couple houses up de road lived a guy who worked fi biggest station in town and he got me a job as an operator at the station. An operator would work all the controls and play voice of a dj who wasw not there. I then stumbled into de station I'm at now an dis is histree</span>

Hi Silent River, <span style="color: #006600">I used to follow Rastafari, so you weren't that far off.

Like you said I'm not into labels,but I am more a spiritual person then anyting else.


What I mean by look to the past and to the ancestors, is that my ancestors (our ancestors) stand with us in spirit. Ancestors from yesterday to hundreds and thousands of years ago. They paved a way, they did things and stood for things that help me/us out in this day. Their spirits are in me and apart of me, one can speak things and it may sound like it is that person speaking, it may look like the same person speaking, but it could be one of the spirits or ancestors. Sometimes you could be in a conversation with ppl on a subject and while you are speaking and teaching/saying things you are teaching yourself and after the conversation finish you say to yourself... &quot;where did all that come from&quot;.

So the Ancestors hold me up, they walk with me and protect me in the name of the Most High Creator/Creatress. </span>

For some ppl it is good cause they need the barriers to keep them in some form of control. Without the barrier of religion them would be out of control.

The disadvantage of religion is that you become lost, meaning you lock yourself in a way, that makes you accept nothing outside of the prescribed method or theology. With religion truth can come in the form of a lie, or a lie can be made to believe it is the truth.

Spirituality however is just that. All you need to know is already made available to you, it is written as it says in the bible on your heart. The knowing of good and evil is already known, we don't need any book to tell us this is wrong, WE ALL already know. But some a wi gwaan like wi chupid an nuh kno </span>

Because &quot;all you need to know is already made available to you&quot;, isn't it possible that the subjective interpretation of that which is available could be flawed?

How would one know which interpretations are true and which ones aren't?

Also, in another place you spoke of the Creator. If humans rely on their own efforts for spirituality, in your worldview what is the role of the Creator?

Hmmmm this jumped out at me. I still haven't read everything as yet.

Do you believe in the Holy Spirit? Yeah yeah it's a Christian terminology but would you interpret the Holy Spirit as what you refer to as spirits/ancestors.
