Does God have a language?

What can we say about an intelligent designer (or a god who created us)? We can't say that the designer had to have a head and arms, and an opposing thumb, but we can say that a designer needed words... can't we? No being can design without words. Well, not unless all of this is the creation of a designed robot. But whoever designed the first designing robot had to have a language I would suggest.

A language must be learned from others. Languages evolve, and an intelligent designer of our world would have to be the product of a language more sophisticated than ours is at this time.

Is it logical to give an intelligent designer these attributes? Could an intelligent designer be intelligent without language?

Perhaps Im mistaken, but it seems that all of these definitions of intelligence would require words? The Christian god speaks to Adam and Eve. So, that god does have words. Can we speculate about how the Christian god got words? He is omniscient, and omnipotent, omnipresent. I'm wondering how any being could get words independently of a culture?

Adam and Eve for example were created as walking talking people. There is no infancy, no culture to inherit a language from in their story. I think that is impossible because a language is a cultural expression, and not a thing that people have like a head and hands.

I would say from where we stay, he is mute, but his action / creation speaks to us loudly enuff. Still some ppl have taken it upon themeselves to translate the silence and act as his mouthpiece.

One does not need words in order to communicate or design. According to Judaism and its many off shoots God did have companions in the form of angels or some similiar beings. So there is the possibility that culture existed pre-Adam in Heaven.

I try to understand how one can communicate without words, but I just can't see how that would work? Sign language, body language? But those are words too. When the Christian god speaks to Moses, he uses words. Moses wrote it down to get it right. You must be taught to write.

So perhaps the angels and God had developed a language? Maybe... yet culture implies a place, environment, things,conditions, and life and death.

One of language's interesting properties is that a person must get their language early. If a child isn't spoken to when they are an infant thru five years old, then that kid won't ever get language. That is what happens to feral children. Sometimes feral children can be taught some words, but they never get the great organization and integration of words and consciousness that the rest of us achieve naturally.

I believe that we created God and not the other way around. Therefore he is so powerful to be able to speak every single language on earth so long as that language supports him. He speaks through signs, events, appearances like angels which alone suggest body language. Handwritting appear on walls and everything that a human can conceive is the work of God.

In other words, if in a language the word &quot;God&quot; does not exist, there is no God.

Exactly.
Their have been Native American Nations that never knew how to speak.
Sign and body languages are not words, but like words they are used to convey ideas.

I tend to consider Heaven(the Kingdom of God) a place of a spiritual sort.
Where ever beings co-exist culture is:-
Environment - spiritual
Things - Gods Throne etc..
Life - angels, cherubins
Conditions - war and peace.
Death - unknown(cast out or down)

Nevertheless when in the pack that provided them with succor or aid they now how to communicate or be understood.

Perhaps God's language is math, which would explain the Qabbala and a ton of other esotericisms. I evolved that word out of esoteric, in case anyone was watching.

Interesting, I like how you express it, that &quot;We created God, not the other way around.&quot; I think we agree that gods are cultural artifacts? They don't exist without people talking about them? The word &quot;god&quot; could exist in one's vocabulary, but if you never think about gods as real, or doing something, then you never experience &quot;god&quot;? While people who see Jesus in on a piece of toast, or see him in every little thing, are using &quot;god&quot; and his story in a very active way. So, God, or gods, exist in that person's life in a very active way?

Well I happen to agree with you that any argument about creation poses a rather inescapable conundrum to any believer that they were, by fact of their existence, created. First cause requires a cause, and one of the fatal arguments to those of design, is of course naturally, who designed the designer ad infinitum.

Sure, I agree about the first cause, Prime Mover. I figure that existing in-and-of itself implies an infinite amount of Big Bangs, and therefore infinite existences exactly like this one. But anyway...

... the super super All and Everything is supposed to have existed forever, some say. I'm wondering if He/She existed forever, then how did this god get language, because language is an artifact of culture?
