Yes, there was the hundreds of lost luggage every Christmas, delayed and canceled flights, and an occasional disgruntled employee.

But for over 40 years, it was a "Little Piece of Jamaica - That Flies".
With the current administration's plans, Air Jamaica as we know it, will cease to exist this year.

What most will you miss about AirJ?

Flying with the <span style="font-weight: bold">proud and professional </span>crew that have ensured a perfect <span style="font-weight: bold">safety record </span>in the 40 years of operations.[*]4. Hearing the phrase &quot;<span style="font-weight: bold">Dis flight will take us over WATA</span>&quot; during the safety briefing. [*]5. Watching hot body gyal <span style="font-weight: bold">Rachel</span> on the 'Island Stylee'[*]6. Getting a <span style="font-weight: bold">bly</span> at check-in when me a try to walk wid 5 grip that weigh 3 ton.[*]7. Hockey an Saltfish breakfast, curry chicken dinner, fruit punch and <span style="font-weight: bold">St. Mary's </span>banana chips![*]8. Sounds a great experience, a flight on Air Jamaica. Sadly I have yet to experience it - probably never now.

I'll miss...

* 1. Feeling like I was still at home.
* 2. Flight attendants speaking to me as if they had known me for a long time and trying to guess what I wanted to eat or drink.
* 3. Trusting and feeling safe with pilots who always said what I wanted to hear when I wanted to hear it and most time landed the plane widdout jerkin out mi soul case.
* 4. Reading Sky Writings.
* 5. Flying over Cuba when some people aren't allowed to do so.
* 6. Removing Sky Writings and other reading material from the plane.
* 7. Having a chance to get another hot breakfast with callaloo, saltfish and bammy!
* 8. Feeling flight attendants rubbing against my shoulder when walking by or standing beside me - a reasonable compensation when I didn't get a window seat.
* 9. Watching the flight attendants as they walked away.
* 10. Hearing questions like &quot;what kine a tea yuh have?&quot; from other passengers.

lol a good ting dem neva have a retirement pawty and invite me fi speak for dese wd be my fondest memories of air j

1. wan time mi did a fly guh a yaad an when mi guh check eeen mi had 17 lbs more dan mi should di bredda at di counta seh baby if yuh gi mi yuh numba mi can put chroo dah bag yah ennuh. I shudda did married him ennuh cause mi wudda did get free flight

2. wan time mi siddung inna mi seat and hear wan meek voice seh &quot;excuse me marie, gyal yuh nuh memba mi an u use tuh guh mayfield all age school and di ooman tan up deh di whole flight a chat tuh mi&quot; wan piece a mixup by di tme mi reach yaad mi know who dead who married whofah husban leff dem who a gi who bun and wat was di real reason maws chawlie neva want we school pickney ova him yaad

3. wan odda time mi did a come fram yawd an mi had a connectin flight suh mi dress comfortable mi guh uppa di counta, hear di man inna him speaky spokey hoxcent nuh wid him eyes pan di brestesses (comfortable shd be read low cut top jeans and flip flops) &quot;awmmmm Ms. Marie, I can switch you to first class for free or give u a direct flight to NYC so that your pretty lil feet wont have to walk&quot; di man was suh smooth that him neva axe fi di numba but mi geem. an still mi neva married him needa kisstoot dyam strikin eediat gyal me be ennnuh
