not always the case as most of the people i'm speakin of are - i guess middle class - so they can and do travel

jus dat they don't live abroad...

Well I guess they like to make others feel bad when they are partially doing the same thing, they may not "live" abroad, but leaving the Island even fi a week, mi si alla wi as one. Don't feel bad do you see any of the folks who claim to be living in Jamaica helping us or helping their own selves to overstand what is taking place in Jamaica?

Our whole family did our bid in the 70s.
I have three brothers two still live in Jamaica. Two live here anything happen to the ones in Jamaica I will be there to deal with it, right now it is watch and see, information is key.

depends on what the 'say' is. if they want to vote and make changes to policies without having to live there, then no.

manley was a populist leader with almost mythical powers in the minds of some. his celebrity was due, in large part, by the very media that exists today. Seaga is the devil incarnate, or so the same media would have us believe.
PJ was not as lucky as his predecessor(sp) and the people grew to know and dislike him for his running of the country to ruins.

Now Portia is another Manley in the same mythical sence, moreso because she is female. Her history escapes the media and some supersticious ppl(after all, believing in someone because of gender is all fairytale thinking), still one must give the ppl who live there the most say since some might not be as generous and short of memory like some expatriots abroad.
